A penny loafer in soft suede, cut close and kept quiet. The apron toe is hand-stitched, the saddle strap carries the classic keyhole slot, and the footbed is leather-lined so it warms to your foot instead of gripping it. The sole is slim and flat — this is a loafer that sits under a trouser hem, not a chunky driving shoe. Wears with tailoring, wears with denim, wears with nothing on the ankle at all.
The penny loafer is the one dress shoe that never really goes out. What kills most of them is the material: shiny corrected-grain leather that looks plastic in daylight, or a sole so thick the whole shoe reads orthopaedic. Verona goes the other way — matte suede that catches light softly, and a slim sole that keeps the profile low and the shoe looking expensive from across a room.
Brush with a soft suede brush after wearing, always in one direction, to keep the nap lifted. Use a suede protector spray before the first wear and top it up every couple of months. Let mud dry before you touch it, and never dry the shoes near heat — suede stiffens and marks permanently when it dries too fast. Cedar shoe trees will hold the shape between wears.

They run true to the foot-length chart above, which is what matters. Don't order your usual number — measure your foot and match the centimetres. If you land between two rows, or your foot is wide across the ball, take the larger size.
Yes — that's how most people wear a suede loafer in warm weather. The footbed is leather-lined, which handles bare feet far better than a synthetic lining. No-show socks will still keep the inside fresher over a long day.
For most weddings, yes — a suede penny loafer works with a suit as long as the dress code isn't black tie. Black or brown are the safe picks there; beige and grey read more summery.
Suede is not waterproof. Spray them with a suede protector before the first wear and they'll shrug off a light shower. Puddles and heavy rain will stain them — true of any suede shoe at any price. Keep a second pair for wet days.
A short one. Suede is soft from the start, but the leather-lined footbed takes a few wears to mould to your foot. Most people find them comfortable immediately and better after a week.
